The Younique Building is a residential development conceived to offer a unique living experience in every detail. The project consists of two apartment blocks arranged around a central space where the communal swimming pool is located. The apartments stand out for their spacious terraces, designed as a natural extension of the interior toward the outdoors.
Some of them also have balconies that enhance the experience of outdoor living, while those on the top floor benefit from private access to their own solarium, enhancing both functionality and privacy. The name Younique reflects the client's desire to create a truly unique building. Our studio embraced this challenge by designing each apartment to have its own identity within the whole. The strategy was to gradually open up the volumes as the building rises, achieving a sense of lightness while providing larger terraces. In this way, each apartment acquires a distinctive character that reinforces the feeling of exclusivity and belonging.
The building's material language is based on a triad: lime mortar, cream-coloured exposed concrete, and dark aluminum in a pure chocolate shade - complemented by dry stone on the ground floor walls. This combination responds not only to aesthetic criteria but also guarantees durability and a natural dialogue with the surrounding environment. While the street-facing facades are more restrained and orderly character, the interior reveals an interplay of volumes with a certain deconstructivist inspiration.
This duality reflects our architectural philosophy: form follows function, not the reverse. In this way, the project becomes an example of how uniqueness and identity can be constructed from the logic of inhabiting the house, offering each resident a home with its own personality within a collective building.
